Use of an original photo to develop an illustration for instructional materials. The pictured object is a steering knuckle for a Can-Am Maverick X3 which must be modified slightly to accommodate a more robust rear radius rod. The small metal ear must be removed, and the area must be repainted or, at a minimum, touched up with something to protect it from rust. The after was not redrawn from an image, it was modified by hand to demonstrate how the result should appear.
